'Banjo'
We are small scale, quality breeders and
have only a few litters per year. What our customers tell
us though, says a lot. To see just a little of what many have
had to say....go to our Testimonial page

Bona Fide means
'in good faith' in Latin. It was in good faith that we
chose the Labradoodle, believing them to be the ideal indoor dog
for our family with four young children which were then all aged under
7. We wanted a
breed that was:
- great with kids
- very intelligent
- easy to train
- loyal and
affectionate
- excellent
temperament
- low to non shedding
coat
Bona Fide specialises in breeding medium sized healthy Labradoodles
from that
come from a broad gene pool. All our breeding dogs live with
young families, and have great temperaments making them suitable
for all ages.
Our dogs fulfill all the requirements of the
ALA (Australian Labradoodle
Assoc.) such as hip and elbow testing, PRA (optical
clearance) checks, & DNA testing, so you can be certain our
dogs are at optimum health.
Bona Fide puppies are born in our family home, ensuring that
your puppy has been well socialised with both children and
adults. We are located in Mt Nelson, just outside Hobart in
Tasmania (Australia) on a 1/2 acre residential block.
Marianne is the
former Vice President and New Breeder Coordinator of the ALA
(Australian Labradoodle Association) serving her term in
2006 and 2007.
She has also actively participated on the Parent Breed Infusion Committee.
Our aim is the ethical breeding and development of the
Australian Labradoodle. If you are looking for a pet to join
your family or considering breeding, I would be glad to help
with questions you may have.
When not
caring for her human or canine family, Marianne works as a
neo-natal nurse with premature and sick newborn babies. This health
care training gives her a solid grounding from which to
understand the biological issues in breeding. |
